Our Operations Data Analyst will be in charge of:

  • Analyzing operations data to improve shop operations;
  • Utilizing operations data and managing scheduling software to generate the company’s production plan;
  • Collaborating with managers and company leadership to formulate the operations strategy; and
  • Conducting operational performance evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and analyze operations data and communicate your insights to the operations team and company leaders
  • Formulate the scheduling strategy to achieve on time delivery targets
  • With the support of scheduling software, simulate various scenarios to recommend strategic approaches for decisionmakers
  • Communicate the pros and cons of schedules and associated risks with internal stakeholders
  • Operate scheduling tools like TACTIC and ERP systems like Epicor to create operations schedules
  • Identify data issues and areas for training and partner with operations teams to support training to address these issues
  • Track the success of our tools and processes through the creation and monitoring of KPIs and dashboards
  • Collaborate effectively with partners and stakeholders

Requirements

What You Have Done

  • 3+ years of total experience
  • 2+ years of data analyst, business operations, intelligence, or analysis experience (e.g. business analyst, business operations, etc.) or a similar role within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Knowledge of business analytics best practices and of the use of tools such as Visio or Lucid Charts
  • Experience with ERP or CRM systems, scheduling software, and a strong understanding of production metrics and KPIs.
  • Experience and a good understanding of tools like SQL Excel, and PowerBI (or other BI related tools) and experience in designing, tracking and operationalizing analytical dashboards
  • Exposure to a wide range of business issues, especially those across IT, Operations, and Finance
  • BA / BS in a STEM or business-related discipline

Desired Requirements

  • Experience working with a scheduling system
  • Operations research background
  • Project management experience; a plus if it is in business or IT related projects
  • Previous consulting or investment banking experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, especially at job shops
  • Proven experience in assessing and implementing IT solutions
  • Python or other programming languages
  • MS (in STEM) or MBA
